Michael Nicol

Founder and Chairman.

Michael Nicol is the founder and Chairman of MUFA. He has a Master's degree and over 22 years of experience in the business, finance and accounting sectors. He currently manages different businesses in the South Florida Area. Over the years, Michael has embraced the philantrocapitalism approach of conducting business, which is a way of doing philanthrophy that mirrors the way business is conducted in the for-profit world. Coupled with his passion for soccer and charity work, he takes great pride in giving back to the Gambia and South Florida Commmunities. He manages various soccer teams and continually donates  uniforms, cleats and eqiupment. Micheal played collegiate soccer for St. thomas University Bobcats serving 3 years as Team Captain. His managerial experience started with Assistant General Manager for Florida Stars, he went on to serve as General Manager for Africa United Football Club and later took over coaching the Club for the past 15 years. Michael continues to facilitate student scholarships for young Gambians to attend college in the United States.

Jaiteh

Dr. Mariama Jaiteh

Director of Women's Chapter.

Mariama Jaiteh, PhD was born in Banjul, The Gambia and grew up in Miami, Florida. As a diasporic Gambian, she is in constant contact with the homeland where she spent several years conducting research as a cultural anthroplogist. Her research interest include gender, sexulaity and transnational feminism. Mariama's research experience in The Gambia along with family and professional relationships have given her insight into the many ways gender and social other social inequities have been impacting Gambian lives. These exposures have propelled and motivated her to engage in socio-economic projects that stand to bring about positive change in Gambian lives. As a team manager/mom for her boys soccer league, she volunteers to support the work of the coaches. She assists coaches with adminstrative and communication needs of the team. This includes collecting and maintaining paperwork required for players, uniform coordination and fundrasing activities. As an educator and a mom, she believes in the development of every child's mind, body and spirit through sports.

Tijan Masaneh Ceesay

Board CEO

Tijan Masaneh Ceesay is the youngest football executive in Gambian history. At 13yrs he became the secretary general of Young Africans football club, A post he ocupied until 1979 when he founded Roots football club, a prominent high school team that registered with the Gambia football association in 1980. He subsequently led the team Roots to the second Division in 1981 and to the first division in 1985 respectively. Tijan is also the youngest football commentator in the continental Africa having taken taking to the Gambian airwaves  at 14yrs calling games over radio Gambia and international level, He has served as the chair of the zone two west African football tournament, chair for press and accreditation in 1985 when the Gambia hosted the subregions biggest football tournament in addition, he served as the editor in chief for the first and only football daily, namedly Cabral Daily.that was dedicated to convering zone two football in 1985. He also served as beat writer for the Gambia national football team  from 1983 to 1985. He is an accomplished football administratorand considered as one of the to minds on the history of Gambian football. He is the author of an insiders review of Gambian football,  A book which details his time as an administrator and journalist covering Gambian football. Today he serves on the Awards committee for the Gambia for the Gambian football federation and a source of reference for many Gambian sports journalists...


Sanna Jobarteh


General Manager.


Sanna Jorbateh is the current Vice Principal of "Babylon Basic Cycle School" Lamin Kombo North WCR. He was the former regional athletic team coordinator MOBSE. Chairman of Medina United Nawettan Team which during his stewardship the community outfit won a dramatic treble of trophies to write a history that never happened. He also served Secretary General of Lamin Youth Sports Development Assoication. 

Professional Degree in Education and a Diploma in management and leadership.

Sang Mendy


Technical Director and U23 Coach.


Depty Principal at Kingstom LBS Lamin - Daranka. Sang has a series of trainings such as 3Levels with Football Gambia UK based Organization. National "D" Licence Holder and General Certificate in Agriculture and HTC.


Treble winner as head coach of Medina United Football Club where he won 4 trophies in 2 seasons.


3rd Division head coach of KGH Academy for 2 seasons. Winner of the Kombo North District tournament in 2010. He had many spells with the Lamin Town team during the GFF Super Nawettan Championships.

Musa Manneh


U15 Coach.


Former Medina United Player and sensational midfielder who helped the current Technical Director win 4 trophies in 2 seasons. A qualified licensed grass root coach with the ability and passion working with kids. WASCE leaving school certificate
